Like our barding and shields, these would have elements of our arms on them - identifying the individual carrying it.  Since they are made of silk, they are incredibly light weight and flutter so beautifully. We came across this product, "Whisperer Waterers" a few years ago at the Stock Show. We were intrigued for a couple of reasons. Maintaining stock tanks, year round, are a bit of a hassle. They need to be dumped periodically to be cleaned, and in the winter you have to install heaters, otherwise they freeze solid. In general the equestrian group is far behind the others in terms of prevalence, participation and representation, throughout the SCA. Soon, though, I recognized voices in the court yard of the YHA, which was right outside our window.  Dragging our butts out of the room we grabbed breakfast and went out to join them.
